"Don 't be intimidated entering this old fashioned Swiss Hospitality Establishment. Through the main entrance you will pass the Bar to your left, Reception will be to your right before reaching the Restaurant area. If you enter here with very casual clothing or a sports outfit you may be feel out of touch , may feel uncomfortable, because you just entered what maybe used to be a very exclusive and luxurious establishment with probably 15 feet ceilings where the clock stopped many years ago. Its a place where in the older times probably had a doorman was at the main entrance, you had a Concierge who reserved your train tickets for you and probably had a water taxi for its guests... Once you reach the restaurant friendly staff awaits you. The service is outstanding, the food excellent in old fashioned settings. Its Restaurant layout is not practical. But if you don 't mind being in a museum type establishment and expect a wonderful meal in a special surrounding, keep the Bellevue au Lac on your list of worthwhile places to visit . To fit in better to your surroundings wear something more appropriate, for man perhaps a suit or minimum a blazer. Tops would be a smoking.... They have also a lake side terrace which in the summer time must be very frequented. It seems there is also a separate access to reach the terrace so maybe its a more appropriate place to sit and enjoy dressed in sports wear...."

"We've been going to this restaurant at Blapbach for many years, run by the Hofer family. I can't be entirely without bias as my opinion is formed by many years of holiday memories, but I have eaten here very happily in the past and in the last year too. They serve good solid Bernese food, with lots of varieties of sausages and, of course, the excellent rosti which I can't recommend enough: a cake of melting grated potato crisped in butter. Massive meringues and ice cream confections and the Blapbach coffee (with schnapps and whipped cream) finish off the meal. Park up, go for a walk in the beautiful Emmental, and enjoy the restaurant. Did I mention the view? You get to experience the best of the crinkling landscape that makes the Emmental so special."

"A lively restaurant/bar in a safe location. A popular place for locals and tourists, the food and service is good at a consistent level. It is very busy so sit back and relax and enjoy the afternoon or the evening. I spend 2 weeks every April in Interlaken and this is my favorite stop. This is a high energy operation and you will see that the owner/brauenmeister Shepy on the ground keeps everything smoothly as possible. The servers and bartenders are always on the run and I love the energy level. I'll be there in 2024 if you happen to be there until the bar and a cold one with me."

"I had moved to Thun just two days before I went to this bar, for my husband's birthday. It was more than I could have expected. The cocktails are unbelievably beautiful as wad the venue. The bartenders know every bar drink under the sun and their cocktails are amazing. I ordered the French martini, off-menu, and it was the best I have ever had. The venue has subtle lighting, comfy chairs and a back room that apparently is home to live music. I can't wait to go back!"
