Last night for the 21st of my life, what a wonderful evening we had. our first impression was from a small village pub with a dach, how can this be an award-win... read more Last night for the 21st of my life, what a wonderful evening we had. our first impression was from a small village pub with a dach, how can this be an award-winning Michelin star restaurant? we were not disappointed. the staff was very kindly attentive, eating was excellently described by the staff well. because there were 5 of us with varied flavors, the menu was enough for us all, which is a rare foundation in a Michelin star restaurant) we could not find any mistake what my son came a happy chappy away, as he himself a cook is passionate about cooking over eating, so the chef let him see the kitchen as they were ready to create the dishes we had eaten. so I can thank for all the staff including the cook for our night truly unforgettable xx

Finally, thanks for attaching a vegetarian tasting menu for us; it is still a challenge to find exciting chefs that can cook without meat and fish. a truly unforgettable occasion.

I would recommend everyone, and we will certainly be back.

The restaurant is cosy and not a austere as I had expected my mind's eye telling me what Michelin looks like! . The staff were polite and paid just enough attention to us. As for the food, well! We had 4 different starters. The Oxtail Ravioli was voted our favourite. Very tasty and was dressed with a pretty array of garnish. The jus was so good that there was a rush for the sourdough bread, to mop it up! Main course was dominated by the deer course. Beautiful! Then to finish the meal we had coffee and homemade sweets. The cup choice was a little strange. They looked like they'd melted! Sometimes design isn't better than function! Very good evening with fantastic food.
