Thanon Khao San Thai Restaurant

I wish i had more stomachs to properly enjoy this place.

I've always loved Thai food as well as every other kind of food I lived in Cammeray for a few years and I lived on Thai food from the old Sukho Thai.

Be warned: the staffs here are incredibly rude. I will never eat here again. Once is enough.

Went here on weekdays with my friend and the place almost full already by 6. In front of the restaurant they sell all kinds of street foods like mango and sticky rice and made to order pancakes that smells so good. The decor makes you feels like you are entering an alleyway in the street of Bangkok. The menu is extensive with ingredients you rarely see in other thai restaurants in sydney, like fish stomach or pickled crabs. We ordered fried wonton filled with quail egg, massaman curry, papaya salad with pickled crabs and bbq pork. Its a little tricky to eat on such small table, but we managed. The food is delicious and fresh and very authentic taste. We are not so sure about the pickled crabs but the papaya salad was refreshing and spicy. Its BYO wine only with $3/person corkage fee. Our bill was just under $60 and we are full to the max. As we leave, people are waiting to be seated. I would definitely come back and try other dishes. A good find!

Have visited this restaurant a few times and it never fails to deliver. if you mention that you have lived in Thailand you know you will get authentic Thai flavours and tastes. A fabulous place just for two of you or for a group.
