It was one of my friend's favorite spots when he lived in Hamburg so we had to make this stop. The fish is on display and brought in daily ...once it's gone they are done. Freshness, simplicity great taste made to order is how I would describe what they are doing at Schabis We all ordered the shrimp with sauce Gambas aus der Pfanne. You get a salad with the entree. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the sauce with a little spicy kick was more like a rich, creamy soup that went nicely with the fresh bread. The potatoes on the side were very tasty also. It was a sunny but cool almost spring day and eating that fabulous shrimp dish sitting at bench tables outside was amazing! A great seafood stop hidden gem in Sternschanze
