"The food here was incredible. Definitely a place to go if you like Mediterranean cuisine. The falafels were the best I’ve had moist and served on a bed of hummus. I will definitely be going back there again."

"Just ate the Chicken cranberry brie pie and was delicious !! Hubby had the steak and bacon and enjoyed it ver much. The blueberry pie didn’t make it home we ate in on the way !! Definitely will be back !!"

"Had the most incredible experience here 4 weeks ago! The food was some of the best I've ever had in Halifax! The wine was amazing, and the service was fast, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was cozy and romantic. We had the House Cured Charcterie to start, I have the Duck Margret as my main, and my partner had the Beef Striploin as her main. For desert we finished off with the Terrine. It was all outstanding, one of the best meals top to bottom I have ever had. Cannot recommend Stories more!"

"I had the vermicelli bowl with spring rolls and hubby had the regular Pho and we both devoured everything! Absolutely amazing flavors, so fresh and tasty. You could get hints of the ginger, cilantro, etc. SO flavourful! So glad we stumbled upon this place, we will certainly be back! Price was also great and the inside was very clean and modern. Staff was friendly as well. Great experience!"

"First and foremost, this is a classy bar with amazing food. When judged as such, it excels in most everything. The cocktails are unique and interesting, the spirit list is among the best in the country, service is amiable, and the food is absolutely delectable. However, we specifically came because of it being selected as a top 15 restaurant in Canada. With this in mind, there were a few shortcomings hence the four star review. Our cutlery was never changed out, you're only slotted two hours (even if you're spending), there is no espresso machine, and they don't take Amex. These might be small things for most or even petty to others, but in my mind if you're trying to compete with the best in the country then every box needs to be checked. I'd certainly recommend Bar Kismet to friends and come back for sure, but I am making this review with the #12 selection in mind and for that, I cannot give five stars faithfully."
