The OnRoute in Napanee is a nice place to stop on a drive from Downeast to Toronto. We always stop here to grab a Coffee and maybe a snack. The bathrooms are always clean and the food areas are kept clean too. It's really nice to be able to stop and get a coffee, use the bathroom, and grab some gas all in one stop. View all feedback.
What Brandyn Schulist dislikes about On Route:
On a Saturday morning went in and ordered an egg sandwich from the Tim's, 15 mins later they told me that they had run out of eggs and just gave me an English muffin with cheese in it. When I asked for a refund they told me it was impossible. Avoid unless you feel like testing your patience! View all feedback.
What a terrible experience we had on this on route. they have a self-service system with kiosks to order their food. some of the kiosks were closed and the first open we tried would not work. we finally have one who worked and we. ordered eating of popeye and tried by burger king. we were successful with the termination of the order of the papste, but we had problems with the burger king order. one of us wanted a shake with the BK order, and the shaker options would not come on the screen. After he explained to the hired that the shakes did not appear, the manager came to kiosk. He looks at the screen and explains that they did not have shakes. very frustrating. why do they give them the option for shakes at ordering, but they can't order them? we got the order of our papste, then decided to get eat from tim hortons instead of the BK order. they can order at the theke at tim’s. husband wanted a shaking or an icey drink. he ended up with an icey coffee that should have chocolate milk in it, but they were said to be from chocolate milk, then they were told they had it. he ended with a water drink with ice in it. most tables were dirty. there was food everywhere. the routes in general have really gone to quality. is the kiosk system developed to make the dinge faster? I would say it doesn't work. when they go in, the workers are standing around with their poor, who are crossed as if they had nothing to do. before we were gone, I ordered a coffee of tim. it took a while until they prepared it. people who have ordered after me have their things (food and drinks) before me! the employees on this route were not properly trained. they stand around, mill around, chat and act as if they don't know what to do while the people wait for their commands. very disappointing. we use the routes as location to stretch, use the facilities and get eat. can skip the food in the future.
I recently returned from a trip to Boston and stopped at several rest stops in New York and Massachusetts for snacks and meals. They were all clean, well-maintained, and beautifully designed, with some even having small farmers markets in the front. However, on my way back, I stopped at the Napanee OnRoute rest stop and was extremely disappointed. It was filthy and disgusting, with trash scattered everywhere in the parking lot. Inside, there was even more trash, spilled and dried soda on the floor with a caution cone nearby. The displays were all turned around instead of being cleaned, with items literally stuck to the floor. It was a big and embarrassing mess. Whoever is responsible for maintaining this facility needs to do a much better job.
The burgers at Burger King are unappetizing, cold, and the bacon is not even properly cooked.
After returning from Montreal to Toronto, we stopped at Onroute for a quick break and some refreshments. The facilities are always clean and well-kept, making it a convenient spot for a quick rest stop.
I forgot my wallet with in the bathroom, I realised it 3 hours down the road later. I talked to Wendy and Karan, they were both so nice. They took car of me and kept my wallet in a box during my vacation. I...piked it up with eveything inside a week later!! I offered money but they declined it. Good people !! Thanks again :
