Small and intimate inside with outdoor seating available. Paul, mine host, is a genial and superb barista, serves the coffee as strong and as hot as you request. A very small range of select and tasty snacks also available but not meals. Take away and consume in the opposite park is an absolute plus. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Coffee Bean:
Stopped here for a coffee to break the boring highway journey to Canberra. As the previous reviewer mentioned they just sell coffees so don't expect to have lunch here as well. It's also tiny/cosy with only a couple of chairs inside but more tables outside. We were asked whether we wanted strong, medium or weak coffees (at no extra charge) so we settled for strong cappuccinos in a mug. They were really hot (which sur... View all feedback.
We tried this instead of one of our usual cafe in Goulburn. The exterior looked interesting being part of a tudor style building. The sign to the premises was faded and should of warned us off but sometimes you find some gems. The interior was spartan with a few jars with biscuits which didn't look particularly fresh. We were asked the strength of coffee we wanted, which sounded promising. We ordered strong coffee but at best it was mild. The fellow was friendly and service good, but the coffee was ordinary.
Got a coffee from here this morning. They use ice cream topping for flavour. Tasted discusting. Will never go back again. 1 star is too high a rating.
Did not know of the Coffee Bean until today. I was very skeptical at first. The coffee I had was absolutely beautiful. The home baked rock cake wasn't too bad either. I love sipping on a cappuccino whilst reading the daily newspaper. Will definitely be making this place part of my weekly coffee routine.
The coffee was fantastic. and great value for money will definitely be back!!!! and my daughter who is ten loved the chi latte.
We walked past this little coffee shop one night and thought as they roast there own beans it should be good coffee. Wrong. I had a flat white and it was like something I would be served at a C.W.A. meeting. A flat white from 20 years ago. No substance. Also the coffee was that hot i could not drink it for about 10 mins. After closer inspection the place looks a little dirty and could do with a bit of a make over and even just a good vacuum. I did not like the plastic flower arrangements on the tables as they were so big there was not room for anything else. I know it costs money to do places up and they might want to spend it on roasting there coffee at the minute, but it you want the customers they will need to try a bit harder.
