"A pleasant atmosphere but very bad service. I ordered szechuan fillet steak. the meal was unusable because it was so spicy. at the payment of the receptors apologised that she had forgotten to tell me that it was the most scientious dish on the menu. I could have had a choice. the sweet and acidic pork was overboiled and came without sweet."

"Went for lunch at the Royal with my daughter and granddaughter today and we had the crumbed steak and veg x 2 and the kids fish and chips. The meals were amazing with nice creamy mash, veggies cooked perfectly and the crumbed steak was the best one I’ve had in ages. Can’t beat a great crumbed steak."

"We had two nights in goondiwindi. we stayed in the attached motel but had wanted to eat in the city. we had a light dinner in the first night in the grunde 4 entrees between 2 of us. that was enough for a light meal. we were impressed. with the service and decided to return to the next night for a full meal. we both had the barkers creek and were not disappointed. well cooked and served. when we're back in goondiwindi, we'll be ceremonially revised. thanks to tracy who was wonderful and all the workers"

"My husband & I had had dinner there on a Tuesday night. We both chose Feathers & Fin. I had it with vegetables & my husband with salad. I am not a lover of chicken breast as I find it always too dry. I can honestly say it was the most moist & superbly cooked & tender chicken. The topper was fresh & the prawns were divine. The squid was also tender & defintely not chewy as can be the case. The service was acceptable & the food was serviced hot & in a very timely manner. Price was fine, it reflected the size of this lovely meal."
