This was a cool find in Freo at the end of the main strip. It is an old converted warehouse and the ambiance was spot on apart from being a little noisy. My husband and I came for dinner with another couple and we all ordered pasta (how could you not!). I definitely won with ordering and had the pasta, pesto and prawn in the main size. It was AMAZING! My husband ordered the beef ragu and that was pretty yummy but cou... View all feedback.
What Glen Spencer doesn't like about La Sosta:
Service was terrible, food underwhelming. After 2 hours we hadn’t had mains, and had to leave to attend a concert without dessert. Sarurday night in central Fremantle and this restaurant was struggling. Just not worth the wait or the cost. View all feedback.
Beautiful Italian venue! The standout thing was really the staff. Every single staff member that I encountered was warm, friendly and jovial. Really set the atmosphere in the place. The food itself was great and I imagine quite traditional the focaccia entree was particularly good. The steak was amazing, meat was very tender and flavour filled. There were so many dishes that I wanted to try on the menu but didn’t get to needless to say if they are anything like the ones that we ordered then the restaurant well and truly deserves a 5 star rating. Would definitely go back to try more of their dishes and experience their amazing service!
Urban list found this little gem of a restaurant. So happy I went on a rainy Sunday night. Absolutely excellent food. Definitely fine dine Italian. Highly recommended. Gnocchi looks small but is very filling, and so so soft and delicate.
Parpadelle beef ragu — overall a tasty dish! Not sure why the addition of peppercorn-like ingredients as it started to taste like a Chinese dish (mala xiang guo). Beef was great too but overall the ingredients didn’t feel like they gelled well as a dish. Pulpo — sauce was really good! Went well w the octopus. Seafood tagiolini — best dish of the lot. Fresh seafood and tomatoes were very tasty. We basically lapped up the sauce! Lovely ambience at night. Would I eat it again? Yes.
What an amazing place. You might miss it since the doorway is at ground level and the restaurant is on the second floor. The decor is beautiful and the food was exceptional. It’s run by an Italian family and the staff treats you like family. I had the lasagna with prawns and pistachio pesto. It was beautiful, rich and an incredible mix of flavors. I will definitely visit it again!
Went here tonight after seeing their beautiful lighting from the street below. Glad they were able to get us a table despite being busy. Staff were accomodating, pleasant, and friendly. Food was good. Ambiance was an exquisite mix of modern industrial with perfect lighting and art installed. Will definitely be back!
