Quite good Japanese food here. The kids and adults liked it a lot. They really helped out in managing the kids. Good selection of sushi and it was well prepared. The tempura was great. Only issue is that they brought the warm dishes before the cold/appetizer style dishes. This should be in reverse order. I would go back again but would keep this fact in mind. View all feedback.
What AAleR dislikes about NARU Japanese Restaurant:
Despite the vast majority of great reviews, we found the Naru rolls a real disappointment. Flavor and construction of the rolls were sub-par. Maybe we just visited at a bad time. View all feedback.
I went out for dinner with my family. The portions were small for the price we paid. Servers were friendly but the food all came out at different times. I had dessert and my father was still waiting for his meal. Very slow service and freezing inside the restaurant. I will not return and this business is lucky that they do not have much competition for sushi in the city.
Love their sushi, and they do a nice presentation. I usually love fried shrimp, but I don't care for their recipe. The meat has a processed texture, but it doesn't take away from the rest of the food.
Good food with a wide choice of sushi (nigiri, sashimi, chirashi, ...), excellent and friendly service
We had a great time at this place- the menu is overwhelming but just dive in, the food (sushi rolls, teriyaki, tempura & desserts) are delicious.
While the sushi is ++, the service staff are stretched a bit thin on the ground. I tried a slow time -- deliberately, and the sole waitress had trouble with 2 tables! Am thinking a busy time would be very slow going but most agree the wait is worth it -- it's the best sushi in Fred'ton.
