Contribute FeedbackLocated in the Stockyards, Cattlemen's was a mixed bag of reviews. Some praised it for its flavorful, tender steaks, attentive service, and high-quality dishes, while others found the high prices not justified by the food quality. Complaints included unseasoned steaks, overcooked salmon, and tourist trap vibes. Despite the inconsistent experiences with food and service, one thing all diners seemed to agree on was the generous portions. For those willing to take a chance, Cattlemen's might be worth a visit for its massive steaks and charming Old West ambiance. However, those seeking a more reliable steakhouse could consider other nearby options.
Very good food, especially since it seems more touristy in the Stockyards. Recommend the onion rings and the chicken fried steak.
Maybe they were having an off night, but for what I paid I've had much better at Texas Roadhouse.
Great Old Fort Worth Atmosphere with a steak to Boot.
I’ve always seen this place and I figured it’s my bday so why not. As historic as it is the prices are crazy high. Two beers, CFS and signature cattlemen’s porterhouse steak wasn’t worth the $180 price tag. The wings were ok but they were lukewarm and the same for the steak. I had more fat than the actual meat but it was tender. The seasoning was pretty heavy and very salty. Would I come back? Sure i wanna try their T bone steak. My biggest complaint was the salad it was served warm so not sure what kind of service that was but I wasn’t digging warm salad. I would say the happiest part was the server knew it was my birthday and she brought me a peach cobbler with two scoops of ice cream.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. Having tried steaks at various locations around the world, even the most renowned places couldn't compare to the quality of this humble yet exceptional spot.
