"Brilliant pub restaurant. We popped in on a Friday lunchtime, originally just for a drink (and the place was full, which spoke volume).. However, the smell of the food and the menu left is no choice but to order, and glad we did. Excellent quality food. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good choice of real ales. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back. Not often you see a pub so busy on a Friday lunchtime, recommend booking ahead. Price per person: £20–30"

"Disappointing… waiting staff super miserable and unhelpful. Ordered kids meals which the menu said came with beans but were served peas. When questioned, the peas were returned and we were told they had run out of beans. It seemed like the staff couldn’t care less about anyone or anything! Beef was cut very thick, chewy and was nowhere near pink. The wine was nice but not at £10 per 250ml!!! Too expensive for the poor quality. Bar staff were lovely but that’s probably my only positive."

"Went with my girlfriend and my parents while we were staying in Cinderford. Very nice food, nicely cooked. I had the Balti which had plenty of succulent meat, with chunky veg and a really tasty thick sauce and the portion size was just right. Ive had a lot of curries in my time and this was up there. Service was also very good, the guy who served us was very friendly and accommodating when my girlfriend ordered off menu. We all said how nice our meals were as was evident from our empty plates."

"Visited for a takeaway one night this week and sadly was a really average meal. Mixed kebab starter was dry, ordered a butter chicken which was definitely just a korma and overall the flavouring was tasteless and lacked any seasoning throughout the meal. A real shame as this was the first evening of our holiday, reviews are somewhat half decent but coming from kent this Indian meal doesn’t have a touch on our local takeaways. If you like paying £25 for a meal you could cook yourself this then is the restaurant for you."
