Japchae is my favorite dish at Sushi Seoul! I could eat it all day long!

The sushi really is just as good as anywhere else in town. Being that it's not Japanese run some of the flavors are not authentically Japanese hence the name Sushi Seoul I guess. They have potstickers that are deep fried I asked if they could possibly do them pan fried. They brought them to me deep fried and I said oh you couldn't do them pan fried and the response was that they could have steamed them or deep-fried them but they never did ask me which way I preferred. I do not like deep fried pot stickers. I would have either said forget it or I would have gotten them steamed. Also not sure why they serve it with what appears to be a tempura sauce. Potsticker should be served with a combination of soy sauce, chili oil, and rice wine vinegar. The karaage they should just call Korean fried Chicken because it is not karaage at all. The kimchi is very good. I think it would be best to do Korean appetizers, Chinese appetizers, Japanese appetizers, and do each one is authentically as possible instead of sort of calling them by the Japanese name and doing them wrong. I'm all for fusion of different cultures in the food but if you call it by the original name then it should be done the way it should be done. If you're going to do it differently then make up a new name for it. I'm really conflicted on the place in some ways. I just think the sushi is just as good as anywhere else. The rest of it I'm up in the air about.

Both employees on the floor checked on us in passing. Very kind. Not pushy or bothered in tone. Comfortable to talk to. Good prices. Nice portions. Nice cocktail! Not over poured but also not drowned down with juice. Potstickers cooked perfectly. Not burnt or soggy. Perfectly light crunchy. Tasty filling. My fiance had the Ton Katsu ramen. I had the Ondeng Udon. Both fully layered with great flavor. We appreciate you being open. Thank you for a positive experience.

A number of people have complained about the service, but we had a great server who was polite and responsive. Awesome Sushi and appetizers. We will be back!

Our server was friendly and accommodating, helping us with our questions and indecisiveness. The sushi roll I had was delicious, although the pieces were cut a bit large to eat comfortably. Nonetheless, I think the flavor and portion size justified the price. I’ll ask them to cut it smaller next time and see how that goes. The edamame was overly salted, which was a bit much for my taste. On the positive side, the calamari portion was generous and very tender.
