Hartmaier's Villa Ettlingen

The Erbprinz is already very good, but for me is Hartmaier's Villa a tip better. The service and also the food/wine quality is really outstanding. In summertime you can enjoy the biergarten in the backyard (belongs are far as I know not to Hartmaiers directly, but still very good cuisine.) I always love the daily specials.

Villa Hartmeier at Watthaldenpark in Ettlingen is part of a select group of restaurants in north of Baden-Württenberg. The restaurant has some charismatic radiation when you get inside. You feel right away welcome and one takes care of you with all attention needed. The tables are well dressed the restaurant is a very nice to be, for romance, business or just for fun. Before you know it an apperitif is proposed so you can look at ease at the menu; the food is very well balanced in choice; a collection of German food with French influences. All you order is well preprared , the eye has the same experience as the mouth. great quality and fresh prepared. the wine list is very large and you will find local op wines as well as french and new world wines. I have experienced many diners at this place and I was always very well surprised by the selection of food and the combinations the chef is proposing for the evening.The somelier is well informed and knows his wine cellar, gives you several proposals for the selected food. I prefer fish and always i have different proposals from the kitchen. The eye for details are from the beginning until the end.From the "greetungs from the kitchen" until the sweet company with the coffee; Congratulations to the whole team of Villa hartmeier for giving me always a great experience!

We stopped in Ettlingen on our way to Switzerland. We stayed in the hotel next door and had dinner in Hartmaiers villa. Great food, wine and service. A really pleasant surprise. Next time we will stop here again!

The atmosphere at Hartmeier's Villa is unique, a combination of german style with a modern touch that makes you feel home. Spacy room , so you don't hear what the neighbour is saying but still have the feelong that it you are not alone. the chef makes some fantastic dishes with combination of German-French cusine. Fresh and unique presentation. the winelist gives you a selection of german, french wines that can be afforted by all budgets. please try their champagne, even germany has some nice sekt that can compete with the real one. Worth the trip i would say if you are in the surrounding.
