Swedish Meatballs and Lingonberry sauce, I love it! And you can't beat their price either. It is a sure winner with many patrons. Kids love them too, their Chicken offerings are so-so, I find the meat always dried out. Good salads and Swedish deserts too. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about IKEA Swedish cafe:
Ordered the Swedish meatballs with extra balls with a side of veggies and mashed potatoes. The meatballs tasted very processed and tasted similar to a pork breakfast sausage (gross.) View all feedback.
Really weak offering since the reopening in summer 2021. Used to be 4-5 entrees, now there's 2. Used to be a fridge full of salads, sandwiches and desserts. Half of that has been removed and they instead stuffed it full of plain chocolate bars. Used to have breakfast, now no breakfast. Also prices have been raised on what little is left.
It was busy maybe because Sunday. But service is perfect. The staff professionally told about all the dishes, and explained everything very nicely. Special thanks for the meatballs! This is Delicacy!
The South Common IKEA restaurant has recently and unfortunately become quite disappointing. Ordered the Salmon vegetable medley, the salmon had fat congealed around the edges I presume not warmed up properly and there was no vegetable medley despite the name and pictures, all that was available was peas. The staff were friendly enough, but clearly the management has stopped caring about providing good food at a good price. Used to be a favourite breakfast stop, but with the recent quality downgrade, I think I'll stop elsewhere for breakfast too.
Hadn't been to IKEA in years but my son was craving the meatballs a couple of days after his wisdom teeth removal. The line was long and food was just okay. Service was relatively fast and even though the seating area looked packed, it wasn't very hard to find a table. We had the meatball dinner, plantball dinner, cheesecake, fries, and mushroom soup... I guess it is alright for the price but I don't plan on going back soon.
Good food at great prices. My wife and I have enjoyed eating food here for many years. This is a cafeteria style restaurant so you grab your tray and order your food ???? as you progress down a food line. You can get alcoholic beverages here also. The restaurant is in the IKEA store so there are washroom facilities here. We enjoyed the salmon dinner and it was good. During COVID the menu has been limited but it is still good.
