We booked for an Anniversary lunch and visit to Christmas markets. I had the lemon sole with smoked salmon, it was beautifully cooked and the sauce was delicious. Portions were good and we were certainly well fed! Would definitely recommend Iris for a place to meet friends for a quiet meal away from the busyness of the Christmas shoppers. Staff were pleasant and cheerful. Will definitely be back. read more.

The Hogmanay party itself was kinda shite—wet, ridiculously cold to the point that I couldn't feel my toes, and packed full of drunk, hair-pulling vagabonds, half of whom were probably Australian. While I accept that this is many people's idea of a good time, these teetotalers didn't enjoy it. We were having such a miserable time of it that we headed back to our hotel room before midnight.
