Nice dinner towards the end of service on Friday night. Our waitress very prompt as were the meals. I enjoyed the entrees and my main. We 3 shared entrees br/ I ordered the S&P squid with aoli but sadly received tartar sauce. My Saltimbocca Chicken was tender and large serve and the plentiful sauce very buttery, broccolini was nice too. br/ View all feedback.
What Troy B dislikes about Sebastian's Italian Cafe:
We had lunch here with family and friends. Was not very busy. Found the restaurant nice and airy with the windows open which was excellent given the current pandemic environment. I ordered fish from the main menu instead of the lunch menu as I was quite hungry. However the main was delivered very small. I understand if the fish is premium but to just get a small handful of chips and tiny salad does not make sense. Al... View all feedback.
Spacious place and menu has a good variety. But prices are very steep for the food you get. Arancini tastes quite plain and chilli mussels could do with a thicker sauce. Decent pastas and pizza, but they are way overpriced. We also ordered the main size for Salt & Pepper Squid and although the squid is nice, we got much more salad filling up the plate than the squid; really not worth the price. Felt a bit ripped-off at the end of the night paying so much for an average meal.
Dined on a Saturday night and it was a full house. Despite that we were in and out within an hour (plus they wanted the table back for the next lot of diners.) We ordered garlic bread, chilli mussels and the spaghetti carbonara. I thought $29 for the carbonara was ridiculous. It wasn't an overly big portion. Taste wise, it was pretty good but needed more parmesan. Chilli mussels came in a tasty sauce with a good kick to it. Would've liked it a little thicker so they would've coated the mussels more. At $27 for a 1kg serve it was way better value than the pasta. All in all, decent meal but a little expensive for what it is.
Been here quite a few times as they always used to post me a Birthday offer. The food here is big servings Italian food cooked by Indians most likely. It's ok not the best but ok. They have a pretty good value lunch special. The staff change quite a bit.
