However, I found the service to be a bit underwhelming. It felt like being in a pretend restaurant game with inexperienced staff. For example, I had to ask midway through the meal to have water refilled in my glass, which should have been done when we sat down. The older wait staff were more professional, but overall the service was lacking. Despite this, I will still return to the restaurant in hopes of better service next time.
The Portuguese food portions at this restaurant are unbelievably excellent. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is accommodating. We ordered the littlenecks, Spanish style shrimp, and Mozambique dishes. The atmosphere is beautiful and there is plenty of room for parties and banquets.
My spouse and I visited this restaurant to celebrate our 58th wedding anniversary. The music was a bit bothersome, so I kindly asked the manager if he could change it to something more fitting for a special occasion like an anniversary dinner. Without hesitation, he agreed and switched it to more pleasant tunes. He even congratulated us on our anniversary and treated us to a complimentary drink. The service from the wait staff was attentive and the food was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be coming back again in the future.
Ladies and gentlemen please don't order the Portuguese soup. I worked there in the kitchen,in Bristol. Joe the main cook a quack. The owners cousin who comes from Portugal is a hot hot mess. I was chopping kale for the soup and came across bugs. Itold her we can't use the kale. Well she did. Just ???? awful ????. The owner is a fantastic man. I doubt that he knows whatwent on in the kitchen. He's just a kind man. His daughter did the paperwork for employees nice young lady. He just needs tobe present when they prep. The staff waiters and waitresses are great .
Low customer service. I had a baby shower in one of their halls. the whole event felt extremely hurried. it is shaken to serve the food rushed to cut the cake, and rushed with my guests out of the room. We had paid to stay in the hall until 11 o'clock, and at 10:20 they told the dj to turn off the music completely. I had confirmed with 3 different booking coordinators that the event could go up to 11 o'clock because the next day was a holiday. the pamphlet I was given has also given 11pm. while we were getting up and ready to go the so-called manager, says: "here, where are you? "a manager should not make unprofessional comments like these before customers. when they served the cake, they didn't even bother to ask who wanted something and who didn't. or ask for allegiance. they just flew and flew cake on the table. some tables were served cakes where there were no people sitting. it was frustrating to see so much cake going to waste, and half of my guests had no cute to eat the cake. first and last time you book an event with this place! who does not care about customer service and is above the event frame.
