Waterfront Restaurant Bar

We stayed at the Novotel Hotel on a recent trip to Geelong and this restaurant is attached to the Hotel . We had Breakfast & a Dinner at the Waterfront during our stay . The breakfast was OK but nothing exciting . It is a typical Hotel Buffet which could do with a little work to bring it up to the standard of the hotel ( 4.5 Star ).the food selection was good but the quality was only average . The dinner was a different story . They have an A La Carte menu as well as a Tapes Menu . We chose from the tapas menu which was a great choice . The selections were excellent and very tasty . However the service staff could benefit from some training in service at this level . The service was OK but not 4+ star standard. Note : We also had room service , while staying at the Novotel , which comes from the same kitchen and again the food was very good . If they can lift their service level this would be a 4.0 establishment .

Management, please change your listing to the Waterfront Cafe Novotel Geelong. I am sure that many browsers are confused with the café and the bar, which also knows (in the venue) as seafood and grill on the water. Grief The pictured restaurant (over the gallery) can confuse the audience and give them a little negative feedback, since the above-mentioned location is still desired.

Had lunch here yesterday & chose their Grilled Barramundi with wedges & salad. My meal was served hot & within 15 minutes of ordering, however I was a bit disappointed when the so-called wedges (as advertised on the menu board just inside the eatery entrance) were not wedges but just chips, and also that I had to specifically ask for tartar sauce after my meal had been served without same being provided). On our trip to Melbourne we dropped on the water. Beautiful view, complemented by warm sunbeams. We both decided on the prete-prete burger, a page of fries. Delicious. The service was attentive and good. Would definitely come back.

A wonderful view from this place of the eastern beach. The café is located in a former wool wrapping shed and retains this industrial appearance. The settings are modern and have wood, and the dining area is spacious. The service was inviting and friendly. We ordered a tailor-made vegetarian breakfast that consists of secondary orders, which staff is pleased to take on. The coffee was very good and the meals hit the square.
