george street quarters is a big caffe to go if they do not want to be in the hectic of fremantle, in the suburb of east fremantle, which is still close enough to be fremantle easily accessible for it. I went to the breakfast after george st. quarters after I heard of the vegan chocolate pancakes that are served there and young I was not disappointed! the chocolate pancakes were served with coconut ice cream, berries... What Teresa Wintheiser dislikes about George Street Bistro:
Disappointed to find little to choose from on the mostly non vegan menu. In the end I asked for a simple smashed avocado on toast for breakfast which was an expensive mistake $7 for two smallish slices of sourdough and $5 for a tiny portion of slightly squashed avo (equivalent to maybe 1/3 of an avo which cost $2 each at the moment). What a rip off ! A return visit is not expected in this life. View all feedback.
I'm going to return and try the eggs Benedict.. but the corned beef hash was very nice.
I'm a local resident and I would love to support the local business The Merchant however I won't because of the young woman and her staff that manages it is rude and the wrong face of this cafe...the staff are uncaring and don't care if the coffee is good or bad..shame because it could be the local go too but it's not due to arrogance and indifference ...
Long black hit the spot....delicious avo sarny, great start to the day
Steak sandwich was awesome, Eggs Benedict served on a massive hash brown and not bread. Excellent. Quiet dining with not many patrons on a sunday afternoon.
Absolutely the most unpleasant experience I have ever had. Staff have no idea.
