A visit to Providence House was a wonderful meal in glorious setting. The three course set menu offered Samon, ny steak and seafood canalonni with appatizer and dessert. We drank the bottled on site apple cider; delicious! The drive to the farm is lovely and we walked round the garden admiring the efforts of the gardener's. View all feedback.

A new dining experience The food was excellent and the service top quality I would go there more often if they could vary the menu a little bit this is not to criticise the food but it would be more of a challenge to the students if things were varied more
This restaurant is part of the Vancouver Island University Culinary Program so everyone working there is a student. The food is amazing but give yourself time if you are going. Don't be in a rush if you are this is not where you need to dine. The location is beautiful at Providence Farm. I have been a few times and have never been disappointed.
The Farm Table specializes in local food preparation, organic food and is a chefs training program Great care is taken with each meal. The site is on Providence Farm which is a beautiful heritage setting in the Cowichan Valley 5 minutes outside Duncan. The restaurant is in a 95 year old heritage boarding school surrounded by 400 stunning acres of forest and farm. The service is excellent and seating is limited so make a reservation. The restaurant is open Wed through Friday evenings.
The VIU partnership with Providence Farm is a unique bent on the 20 Mile Diet. Professional Cooking students operate the kitchen and serve meals - three courses for under $25. Food and wine is locally sourced and a highlight is the outdoor pizza oven. Great food at an even better price while supporting education and a not-for-profit partner. Can't beat it. Only open three nights a week with limited seating though, so plan ahead.
