Absolutely love this restaurant! It is one of our favourite places to eat in Dusseldorf. Have been here many times over several years, and will continue to do so. The food is always fresh and full of flavour! The team are very attentive and service is always impeccable. Never had a bad evening/experience... wouldn't hesitate to recommend you! Thank you! What Hiltrud Lange dislikes about Shilla:
The personel was very friendly. The location is one of the nicest for tourist route. The food was not more then ok. It is simply not korean coal grill. Meat is roasted on metal plates and doesnt have the flavour of real Koren grill. Side dishes were acceptable. Bibimbab though served in traditional stone plates was not warm enough and not roasted at the bottom. I believe enterior requires already deep cleaning and so... View all feedback.

. rude service, taste is not korean. I would say more for ppl who have no clue what korean food is. It's ridiculous this restaurant exists. The staff didn't even try to get into a conversation with us after we thought that the court looks and tastes like MICROWELLE. unharmed evil is that. And it was black. Speaking

I went here about a year ago, and just never got around to writing a review. Let's put it this way, outside of the US and Korea, this has to be one of the top Korean places I have been to in Europe! I was extremely impressed with the quality of the meats and vegetables that my palate was more than satisfied! I went with a group and one person is a vegetarian, I will come back to that. We ordered the typical meat dishes to grill at our table like bulgogi, pork belly slices, and then there was a surprise, duck! Often times it is hard to find duck of any Korean bbq menu, let alone in a country where there aren't that many Koreans. We ate the bbq dishes in total bliss as the food was fantastic! To the vegetarian, one of the odd things to be in Germany is a Vegetarian. Germany is a meat eating country plain and simple. Well, with Korean food there are a variety of vegetable dishes, most could qualify as vegan, I think. ; Either way, we asked the waiter to provide some vegetarian types of dishes, both in side dishes and main dish variants. At the end of her meal, our friend basically said that this was one of the best vegetarian meals she had ever had! This was someone who lives in the UK and has access to a variety of Indian dishes for comparison. Now that's quite a compliment! It does seem a bit odd to find this Korean gem of a restaurant in the Altstadt, since people go here to drink beer and eat sausages, but if a little variety is desired. Shilla will not disappoint. Regarding Price: Most Korean places are reasonably priced, whether it be in USD or EUR, but it's always the bbq meat that will get you in the end. So be prepared to see a big bill if you do go for the bbq grill instead of the regular entrees. It's worth it!

The food is good to very good. I had an excellent seafood pancake as appetizer. The entree, grilled beef could have been more spicy. The atmosphere is classical Korean. As other reviewers already saw it, for The quality it is a couple of Euros too pricy.

I went with a group of 12 and the food was fantastic. I spent a year in Korea and this food is authentic. Way more expensive than you would pay in Korea though. The service was very good. I would recommend going here. I highly recommend getting the Bulgogi you can't go wrong with bulgogi.
