Upon researching a highly recommended restaurant during a trip to Ireland, a couple was left unimpressed by their experience. Feeling deceived by hidden charges, chewy steak, and high prices, they warned others to skip this place. Another visitor found the food overpriced and underwhelming, while a group left hungry and disappointed with their meals. However, not all reviews were negative, with some praising the top-notch atmosphere, service, and food quality of the establishment. One person enjoyed a delightful evening with great food and efficient service, while another expressed gratitude for a cozy dinner experience. Despite mixed reviews, Fallon and Byrne seems to have its fair share of loyal patrons and detractors alike.

One of the best dinners we had in Dublin was at this restaurant! The downstairs wine cellar is an incredibly cool spot to check out. We chose a bottle from the shelf for just €10.

The food was excellent, but the service left much to be desired. The staff were quite pushy about taking our order, which didn't allow us much time to peruse the menu. This may have been influenced by the current restrictions, but it felt a bit overwhelming. Additionally, they served all the food at once. While the quality of the food was impressive, the staff could have been more friendly and personable instead of coming across as robotic.

We arrived at 7:15 PM and were quickly shown to our table by the window, perfect for people-watching. We ordered the buttermilk chicken and the bone marrow burger, both of which were absolutely delicious; I can't wait to try the crab and coconut bonbons next time! The smoky old fashioned was prepared tableside with a bit of flair, which my daughter really enjoyed. The service was excellent, and we will definitely return.
