"How sad to hear of the closure. We really enjoyed our overnight stay in August and were looking forward to returning. Everything exceeded our expectations...the room, staff, food and entertainment. "I went to the Chestnut Horse recently with my wife and friends for a meal. The atmosphere in the pub is very friendly and warm. I had what I consider to be the best pie that I have ever had in my life. I had the Pit pony . The pastry was delicious. The filling of sausage meat, black pudding and haggis topped off with a runny duck egg was a total joy to experience. I 'll definitely go again. My problem will be if should have another of those pies or try a different one."

"Booked for valentine's in advance for a special meal for me and my partner. We've previously been to the Doncaster branch a couple of times and we really enjoyed it and couldn't fault it so we thought we would give Beverley Estabulo a go this time. We we're seated at a table in the corner. Our drinks orders we're taken and we we're told we could go to the salad bar and start. Once we returned our complimentary glasses of prosecco was at the table but our main drinks hadn't come yet, so we started to eat. The meat carvers we're really friendly and the quality of the food was perfect. After mins i asked if the drinks were coming and i was told there was a slight backlog and they would get them in a minute. There was another couple who came in afterwards who i noticed already had their drinks but i thought, mistakes happen no problem. After we'd finished our prosecco's so i once again asked if our drinks we're coming. I was told there was a problem with the internet so our order hadn't gone through but they would chase it up. I was abit annoyed as we was mins into eating and it was starting to spoil the night. minutes later i'd had enough to be honest and i said this is unnacceptable service to the waiter. He apologised and said he would personally make sure we got our drinks and put us to the front of the queue. I felt the meal was abit spoiled at this point to be honest. A couple of minutes later our drinks finally came and he did apologise and say they would be on the house. I wasn't looking for free drinks but it would of been nice to not wait mins! I also remembered from the doncaster one about complimentary fries so i asked while he brought the drinks if we were supposed to get fries with our meals. He apologised once again and said yes and he would bring them. Although if i'd not been before i wouldn't of known to expect these. I paid i think and of that was a tip but a tip for what? Poor service basically. Will not be returning!"

"Wanted a Sunday lunch, so checking reviews decided on the Martonian . And a great choice. £14.95 for a choice of 3 meats . All cooked very nicely. There will be the critics , but they forget it's a carvery , so meat will be left longer. But every meat I tasted was very tender. Plenty of veg to choose from, and all hot and cooked nicely. Service very quick and all servers were all polite and efficient . Will definitely visit again."

"Vanilla came recommended by a friend so we decided to give it a go. The parlour is beautifully decorated, a lovely ambience, with a huge selection of deserts to choose from. The staff were lovely. An 80s mix-tape played in the background (perfect for the wife and I) and the view from the parlour out into the ocean is spectacular. Very high quality ice cream and great customer service. We had a great time, thank you."

"Good fish and chips. Social distancing makes the wait a bit longer. Always send husband for a take away as I don’t like waiting in the rain. Mushy peas and chip salt. Wonderful."
