"These guys literally saved me from starvation! I had a blow out on the A5 in the middle of nowhere and the aa had abandoned me for over 12 hours. These heroes not only delivered food and drink but the best kebab that I have ever had they also included a free litre of water that saved me from certain dehydration in the middle of night when the aa decided to not show up. I cannot recommend these guys any more!! Hero’s "

"What a lovely pub with delicious home cooked food, we dropped in here for lunch and were not disappointed, great friendly staff and excellent food, we were told about this by a friend and can highly recommend this place if you are in the area. We visited mid week and the weather wasn't the best and I can imagine that it will be really busy when the weather improves and you can have the benefit of eating al fresco with stunning views over the river that is literally a stones throw away. Even saying that it was still well attended in overcast showery conditions a testament to the quality of the food and drink on offer, the service was very good and we only waited a few minutes for the food to arrive, I certainly enjoy my food and I had the Beef and ale pie while my wife had the lasagne both highly recommended, there is a good selection of dishes to choose from and we will certainly be returning in the future."

"We had walked around Llangollen on Friday evening for a few drinks and came across this wine bar, we were greater by a man at the bar and told us to take a seat at a high table and will bring some menus over. The guy was great taking our order and recommending some wines. Atmosphere and decor very nice with great staff. We looked at the food menu and decided to book online for the Saturday. The guy realised we had ordered and thanked us and said we would be looked after by someone else on Saturday as he was off. We left thinking what a great place. Arrived on Saturday to total disorganised staff. The lady who I think was shift manager took us to our table and that was it,,,I had to go the bar to order drinks and the staff were had no idea what to do as manager was not incontrovertible and not managing anything,,waited to have a order taken from table but to no avail,,30 mind a member of staff said is everything OK. I just replied we have had no service and we are leaving. Terrible. Will we return? Everyone deserves a second chance. Even if its Fawlty Towers"

"I’m a bit bemused by the positive reviews for this place. There are only two vegan mains on the menu both are quite predictably bean-based (quinoa/bean burger fajitas). You can get bean tacos or cauliflower fritters to start. Maybe I’ve been spoilt in other restaurants but I found the lack of options disappointing and pretty unimaginative. Food was alright but I wouldn’t go back."

"Called in for Coffee on 1 June 21. Excellent Coffee and Cakes but what was really noticeable was the lady running the shop management of Covid-19 restrictions. The social distancing and all other aspects were outstanding. Places like this should be awarded/commended for doing the...Covid -19 requirements so well."
