I recently tried the new vegan menu at Zizzi for the first time and I must say I was impressed! They have a special vegan menu available upon request with many options. My partner and I both had the rustic pizza with vegan cheese made from coconut oil and a selection of three vegetables on top. Zizzi at Bluewater is rather good value if you are in the shopping mall. Not worth driving there especially, but you could do a lot worse if stuck for a bite to eat. Their fish is surprisingly decent. Tried their calamari rings and they were tender and tasty. Their chilli prawns were also good. Seabass al cartoccio good but could be improved. I had the King Prawns Linguine. Unfortunately, the prawns were not as fresh as I expected and the pasta was just a little over cooked! Previous experience was excellent! Thank you cook! Happy customer
Arrived and they had no record of booking via open table, when I showed confirmation I was told that there were several booking pathways they used and sometimes was difficult to check them all but that they could accommodate us anyway. Service was lovely, food was lovely (as always) but we were placed next to a large, very noisy group we weren’t able to hear each other (we were a group of 4) so ate our meals in silence and left as soon as we had finished.
The lady at front of house had a terrible attitude. Previous to booking through opentable I asked in person if I could book a table for, NO, NO bookings. I couldn’t even finish my sentence before she rudely shut me down. So I hopped on to Opentable where I could indeed book. I received my notification via email and turned up for my booking 1.5 hours after booking through the app. I was greeted again by the same terrible service by the same terrible woman. Rolling her eyes and saying no I have no booking. You are too early. We do not have it on our system. You will have to come back in 15 minutes. Incidentally the table we were eventually sat down at was free when we arrived for our assigned booking as I had saw it empty through the window when we turned up for our scheduled booking. A terrible start to what was otherwise a nice meal with tasty food and a fabulous dessert.
