Food and service were excellent. Typical chinese cusine but tourist price which is fairly expensive. Restaurant is easily accessible, cosy and comfortable. Only thing that we did not like was the fact that we had to pay for fresh cut chillies and chilli paste. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Grand Court Chinese Restaurant:
Will not being going back. Although the service was good the food was not. It was tasteless, heavy with oil and over priced especially for the quality of food you got. Have no idea what what meat was used in the dim sums but they were the worst I’ve ever had very dense and disgusting. View all feedback.
The initial street appearance of the restaurant is a little underwhelming, but do not be put off by this - the food is simply amazing. We went on a Thursday for lunch and the place was pumping, so we concluded that they must be doing something right. And they were! The menu is as you would expect in a country Chinese themed restaurant - comprehensive, yet predictable. But when the food is served -wow! The plating is very generous in size indeed so no argument there at all. But it is the quality of the food that is really outstandingly good. Hot, so tasty and really well presented. Indeed probably some of the best Chinese themed food that we have had in many, many years. Small wonder the place was pumping!Service is prompt and polite in a sort of Aussie town country way. Yes, the decor is kitsch but the food more than compensates for this. But the best is saved to last. When you get the bill you tend to shake your head in disbelief. It is relatively cheap and amazingly good value.Would we go back? Oh yes, in a heartbeat! It is really that good.

We visited for a family dinner on the way home from the snow. The appearance of this restaurant is not hugely encouraging, but that is deceptive. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was really very good. This is a delightful hidden gem.
A family reunion of 12 was well catered for. The food was appetising, especially the honey chicken and omelettes. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. Small bottles of wine a welcome change from cask wine that is often served by the glass.
Surprisingly great Chinese with good sized portions. The kids sized honey chicken my daughter ordered, if struggle to finish!
