Stopped in for an evening meal after long day around town. Restaurant is large and well laid out. Our party was both adults and children and everyone was well catered for, both with beautiful Chinese dishes and children's meals, nuggets and fish pieces.
Passing through and stopped off for dinner. The modern and clean decor is very impressive in this large restaurant with sub-divided sections. We ordered lemon chicken and a beef dish. Both were very nice. The staff were friendly and talkative. S

You know those times when you just have to have Chinese food. You get it into your head and nothing else will do. Admittedly we knew the culinary offerings in Cooma were somewhat limited but as we ventured through this iconic Snowy Mountains town, one of our group had suggested "Chinese" and from then we just had to have it. We searched around and found what appeared to be 4 Chinese restaurants in town, two in the main street, one in a motel and another that appeared part of a service station. So China Town in the main street certainly looked ok. Simple, modern black and white decor, large windows onto the street and people sitting at two tables. Mind you, there were no customers at the other main street Chinese. We were shown to a table towards the rear of the restaurant by a young Cooma lady who was quite apparently not of Chinese descent. Her local origin was shown with a "would youse like a drink?" introduction. But hey, no alarm bells just yet - we were in the country. We did spy one Chinese male as he emerged from the kitchen at one point so we were hopeful he might have a passion for his country's food heritage. Unfortunately our waitress' ability to recommend from the menu was limited. After a number of visits to our table with drinks (some imported beers on the list but no Tsingtao!), we were asked "Have youse made up your minds yet?"We figured it was far safer to go for traditional fare. Mongolian lamb was a bit tough and tasteless, Dim Sims and spring rolls tasted like store bought food. Sweet and Sour pork was passable. All in all, disappointing. Sorry.
