The pictures don't lie. Yes we had to wait about an hour to get in on our Sunday visit, but once you order, our platter for 5 arrived in about 10 minutes. The general atmosphere in the restaurant is a little frantic with so many people, food & drinks on the go, but at no stage did we feel like we were being hurried out the door.We paid the extra $2.50 pp to get pancakes instead of the standard French toast & although... What User dislikes about Platform 82:
Very ordinary food for a hefty price tag. Really not accustomed to having to wait an hour just for brunch. Only stayed as the group I was with urged me to. Will definitely not return. View all feedback.
Sooooooooooooo goooood You cannot finish the whole plate The place that you should check it out for sure
Alright, i'll admit itWe went here purely based on the amount of Instagram noise that was being made about the place. Wow.
Visiting from Brisbane, we were keen to try the 'latest and greatest' #foodporn trending dishes Sydney had to offer. A quick google revealed Platform Eighty Two as just that. Their tiered Brekky Platters looked amazing, and as with anything amazing, you expect a wait. We waited around 45 minutes on a busy Sunday lunch service for a table inside. Definitely acceptable by our standards! While the savoury platter fare wasn't overly technical, the big variety of simple flavours hit the mark - what we would describe as a Big Brekkie on steroids. The big tick for us was the sweet tier - french toast crumpets with nutella and choc granola, topped with a caramel Drumstick. You heard bird turd. A drumstick. While some may complain about the wait, we felt it was worth it. Not to mention our drinks and food came out SUPER fast. Thanks for a great Sydney brunch Platform Eighty Two :)

Looking for that WOW factor and something different well give this place a try. It's different to your ordinary brekky, brunch and lunch cafe and that's what attracts people here. I saw this cafe advertised months ago on Sydney Weekender and thought I want to give it a go. The reviews almost turned me off but we took the plunge and travelled from Central Coast and went down for brunch. We expected the queues so that was no surprise and 20 minutes was nothing to wait. We ordered the basic breakfast platter for $32 and it didn't disappoint it was exactly what we expected. The staff were friendly and the service was great. We didn't feel rushed at all and there was still a queue outside when we left ready for the lunch service. The lunches looked great from what we saw. We will be back to try lunch.
