Customers felt that the high prices were not justified by the experience they received. Issues included cold and overcooked steaks, lack of attention from servers, and being seated in an undesirable location despite requests. Some felt that the live piano music was too loud and did not match the upscale ambiance. However, others had positive experiences, praising the delicious food, excellent service, and enjoyable atmosphere. Overall, opinions on The Famous Steakhouse were mixed, with some finding it worth a return visit while others claimed it would be a hard pass in the future.
We were here earlier and had a great time with great food, about a year ago. there's something changed. the carpaccio was pasty, the wagyu flat iron steaks were hard and cold, and the framed spinat and mushrooms lacked salt / flavor. and the garnelen sampi steak that hit with the huge garnels was insensitive, the garnels were so overcooked that I literally had to bite as hard as I could get through the first one and I could not do the first. they were friendly enough to take the price of garnel from the bill. the ambiente was overwhelming, the piano player played so loud to override the gas house that everyone had to scream over him. it was as loud as a sporty one. my man, who is hard to hear, could not hear anything I said all the meal, and his service dog was also very concerned. overall, for a meal near $300 for 2 people with wein, appetizer, 2 main courses, 2 pages, and still a generous tipp for the waiter (that was not his fault, so why short him in a tipp,) we were incredibly disappointed and will not return.
Cool spot. great steak. definitiw expensive. very busy and loud. live piano music. park them a block away and went. definitiw is what they think when they think traditional steak house.
Will spend a good amount of money. it is worth it. I really enjoyed the lamb chops.
Eat tasted great. Environment was elegant and clean. just a little too expensive. have not been included with a $50-70 steak. with an appetizer and meal, a few will be from there with a bill of $250
We said I do! It called for a fancy night out on our honeymoon. We wish we could visit over and over. We have a lot of prime steakhouses around here in Oklahoma but this place still has the #1 spot in our hearts. Every single little thing about this meal and experience was luxurious and flavorful. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The waiter was on point and didn't miss a thing. The sides were paired perfectly and delish. The dessert was one of the best made cheesecakes I've ever had and that's saying something because I try cheesecake every where. The prices seem to be similar to other prime steakhouses so we came prepared for this bill. Every dime was worth it with how incredible the food was.
