I went along fearful that it would be terrible but it wasn't too bad. Waitress was extremely awkward and seemed to struggle with all aspects of communication. But all is forgiven because the lunch time special was good value for money View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Hog's Breath Cafe:
I really don't like giving negative reviews but our food & the service really was disappointing. Waiter seemed uninterested & forgot my sons drink, he came across like it was all a bit much effort. Would have reminded him about the drink but he didn't come back near us so they weren't pushing beverages that night!! Meals were slow & didn't come out together, some of us waited but started so the food didn't go cold. F... View all feedback.
Ordered the crab cakes. Oh, so good. So plump and delicious. Good mayo with it too. Sadly, not enough RawSlaw. Ordered half coke half soda water with lemon, which they happily served me. When asked for another, lemon was left out. Minor issue though. The kids pasta, stay right away from it, as well as the garlic bread. The so-called 'sauce' on the pasta is either ketchup-like tomato sauce, or tomato soup. So disgusting! Such a let down for this Aussie wog. The garlic bread, oi! Saturated in butter, no crispiness at all, ironically, no garlic at all. Beautiful staff were very happy to take it off the bill though. As long as you are honest and polite about issues, they are resolved with ease. Hubby's crispy pork belly, not so crispy, and such a tiny serve for $23. The mashed potato tasted exactly like the one you get in hospital as well. I guess when you've been in business for as long as HB has, you CAN let so much slide.

Would have reminded him about the drink but he didn't come back near us so they weren't pushing beverages that night!! Meals were slow & didn't come out together, some of us waited but started so the food didn't go cold. Food was average - we have been here before (probably 12 months ago) & it was soo much better. It wasn't a busy night, just seems to have lost its mojo which is a shame as we have always enjoyed Hogs Breath. I don't think we'd go back, to many other options close by.....
Service was pitiful. The steaks were barely edible. We had to ask twice for drinks. When we went to pay, nobody was around. A girl who was obviously new, came to help. An exoerienced staffer then saw that and bolted over screaming 'no no no no. Don't do that'. Then mumbled several things. This girl was only trying to help. Get your house in order team. It was terrible.
Family meal. 2 ravenous, hangry adults, 3 hungry boys. Anticipation was high. Appetites were 'prime' , unfortunately thats the only prime thing we encounteted. The waitress was wonderful and gave a great explanation of Hogs Breath cooking techniques but left out details about the kids meal. Left us in further anticipation. Kids meals came in decent form. Drink order was totally messed up. Bar staff didnt seem to know the difference between sprite and lift and didnt seem to care. A random unordered drink arrived at table after we already double ordered kids drinks.Salt and pepper Calamari was a winner. Ordered steaks were a massive dissapointment. 2 x medium well. Arrived grey, tough and similar texture to an old leather boot. A conniseur could really question the origin of the cut. Sauces were watery and unloved. Ordered sweet potato wedges and received mashed potato. After chasing up the wedges the manager assured us we were lucky to get both. We were met by a rather smarmy management at register. We were chastised about the steaks, eyerolled and 'hmpphed'. Not an enjoyable experience and a letdown to the Hogsbreath franchise. Upon reading other reviews this this is not a one off.
