Chartres is mobbed for some reason. The hotel I'm staying is full and so is the restaurant and I had to find somewhere else. Two restaurants recommended on Tripadvisor were also fully booked before I tried this place. Maybe it's just me but a single bloke seems to get very poor service and restaurants don't seem to seem to want a bald headed old geezer by himself. Luckily the Cafe des Arts was not such a place. We went for lunch on a cold January day. I had mushroom soup which needed some spice and the chicken rice special. Not a lot of flavor. My son had the special burger and it looked better.
