Prohibition - Charleston

My wife has been there a number of times when visiting Charleston for work, and I finally went there yesterday with her to meet up with friends. The waitress asked us to confirm what we meant by vegan (I guess people say they 're vegan but then order fish or something, who knows), she was very attentive, helpful and very knowledgeable about what the kitchen could do. After she talked with the chef, she told us they could either modify an existing dish or come up with something different. We went with the second option and let the chef decide... We were not disappointed, the food was delicious. Charleston has very few vegan places so Prohibition is definitely a good option, especially if you like cocktails.

Nothing is listed as vegan, but they are willing to accommodate. We had brunch and got the huevos rancheros without chorizo or egg and added fries. So good! The waitress did say they have more on the lunch menu that’s easier to modify.

I was able to order both the brussel sprouts and the corn vegan both were very tasty! However, nothing is labeled vegan on the menu.

Wonderful place to grab drinks and decent happy hour specials. Nothing listed was vegan which would be nice but they will accommodate.

My friend and I came for a girls night the other night and we will absolutely be back. This is one of the best experiences we’ve had in Charleston so far, everything from the food to the service was amazing!
