Was User at Hillside Hotel a mag?
Went to watch an NRL game last night. Place was pretty busy but good service. The 3 of us had schnitzel, calamari and pork and prawns. Everyone was happy with the food. My only criticism would be the size of the tv's in the inside bar area. Way too small for sport. View all feedback.

What User dislikes about Hillside Hotel:
I liked the ambience, and the wait staff were impeccable. It's a nice spacious relaxed venue and I will return. But why is the food so SALTY? Chips especially but it was a bit shocking that the dessert waffles were just as salty! I thought it was the salted caramel sauce so stopped eating it, only to find it was the waffle batter. Go easy on the salt!

I picked the hotel for lunch because was hanging for a decent steak. I ordered the $34 Scotch Fillet which is the most expensive thing on their menu, I even paid an additional $3 for an 'upgrade' from chips to sweet potato.... my utter dissatisfaction came when I went to collect my meal, no sides apart from the 'upgrade' I purchased. In complete shock I questioned the waitress "is this meal missing a salad?" which her reply was "it's a choice of chips or salad". A meal that I paid $37 for barely even satisfied my hunger let alone the steak being flat as a tack for a cut of Scotch Fillet. Let the photos speak for themselves, I've never felt more ripped off and disgusted that they will charge double the price of a TBone steak for the same size portion of Scotch Fillet and serve all meals with a choice between your chips or your salad.

Caught up with a friend for lunch had never been before found the food and service excellent. Value for money

Really enjoyed this place. Variety of lovely meals on the menu at a really reasonable price. Quality of the food was tops, especially for a pub style venue! Really nice atmosphere and can only imagine it nicer in summer wit the outdoor area.
