I had dinner at the Gold Panner restaurant tonight, a nice experience after a long trip south of Dawson City. The young man waiting for us was just wonderful......

Not bad for a rural restaurant in the north. I had a pretty good Greek salad here with homemade dressing. I was pleasantly surprised.

"The Roadside Grill is a small “mobile food truck” that never moves. It has an entire restaurant seating area with shed bathroom built around the truck. I assume that the owners found out how cheap a food truck was to buy and decided to build instead of an actual restaurant. This manipulation of the rules has left an outer deck that is rarely cleaned or sanitary, and absolutely weakened with errors. The floury handwritten menu on the side of the truck shows its mix of food options from American style burgers and sides to eat like French toast, fish and chips and... The prices are really pretty ridiculous for what you get, hamburgers start at $8 and this does not include a frit or a drink. I heard the cashier argue with a customer who was visibly confused when she received almost $10 for what probably a meal and only a single patty burger. From what I heard, there is apparently a way to make your order a “meal”, but I could not find the price that is listed somewhere on the menu. The food was lifeless. We ordered chicken burgers. A crispy, grilled (painted). Mozzarella sticks and two thresholds (deformed. Crispy chicken burger: Small, overpriced, bland. The Patty is thin and flat and hardly reaches the edges of the bungalow. No sauces or spices. Grilled chicken burgers: Plain, but not bad. The grilled chicken plate was actually quite large and juicy. Albeit for $9 it was ridiculous overprice for coming without pommes. After both Hähnchenburger had ordered side by side, he left our Mundgape. The same price for two astronomical different sizes. My grilled chicken patty was EASILY twice the size of the crispy. But unfortunately both tastes were missing. The mozzarella sticks were decent. But at $1 you're playing me a fool. They were MINI sticks to make it easy, and completely do not justify the price. A better price would be $3,50 or $4. The Marinara sauce was a good companion. Total. This place is mediocre and avoid unless you are really hungry and really rich. Didn't have a chance to try their breakfasts or ice creams, but I wouldn't mind. Review made Sept/2020."
