I stopped in because the parking lot had room for an RV pulling a car. I walked in the door and the dirty carpets made me want to turn around and leave. But I sat down and realised they sell beer! After 5 pm in Carleton Place it's hard to find beer. The beer was cold and the Bacon Cheeseburger Poutine I ordered cake out hot and super delicious! The AC works well also. What Hak T doesn't like about Gourmet Restaurant:
The food at this restaurant is not gourmet at all, it feels more like a truck stop. The exterior may not look appealing, but the interior is dated yet functional. They even have a PacMan/Galaga arcade game for only 50 cents! The food selection is typical for a diner, but I had no complaints about my HungryMans breakfast. The food is great, the staff are super friendly and always on the ball. Oh, and the portions are awesome. We love it!
Made reservations for 10 for a birthday supper the waitress was super friendly made us all feel welcome the food ranged from Wraps to pizza to turkey dinner and burgers food was the bomb thanks for a great night
If happiness was food it would taste like the food at the gourmet I've been eating here for over 30 years my nan and I used to always have lunch when I was young and it's still the same just wonderful
I am looking for something I wanted to take for lunch at work to taste gourmet restaurant and to get a clubhouse, pommes and gravy. the staff was super friendly and at the point as soon as I got in! the service was fast and my food was ready quickly!
If they are looking for fine food, they will continue. if they are looking for a baptism of very decent dug st a very decent price, they should definitely look at the gourmet! good eating huge portions great prices.
