This restaurant fell down in quality but the new owner has improved things a lot. Batter on the fish is well cooked and not too thick, not made with lard any more but with canola oil, so much better. View all feedback.
What Claire Ernser doesn't like about Captain George's Fish and Chips:
Clean restaurant friendly staff very obliging Our order was for the Haddock special. Our order was for take out. The chips were fine. The fish was hard at the ends on both orders. It looked like the fish might of been pre-cooked and heated up....I ordered there a few weeks previous and the food was Ok then View all feedback.
This is the second time we have been to a Captain George's and the food and service is great. Isabella (my 5 year old daughter) says the ice cream is good too.
The food is very good, the portions are great and the staff is always happy to see you !!!!!!!!!! We eat here every time we come to cambellford, nice to go somewhere were the food is always good

We were group of 5 for a week day lunch. Restaurant is clean and table service was professional with a friendly smile. All had and enjoyed the house speciality, Fish & Chips ... everything was first class. As a international traveller, my reviews can be tough and country varied. This place is in my opinion is really great. I hope the travelling public stops in, They will not be disappointed. Thanks and good luck to the new owners.
