Contribute FeedbackLocated on Hastings, this restaurant offers generous portions and reasonable prices. While the mushroom pasta and carbonara were delicious but slightly salty, the pizza was very good. Some found the ambience lacking, feeling the place lacked character. The service was mixed, with some experiencing slower check-ins by servers. Overall, the food was flavorful and filling. However, a recent birthday dinner experience was marred by seating issues and lackluster service. Despite these shortcomings, the quality and taste of the cuisine saved the day, suggesting potential if improvements are made in reservations and customer interactions.
The pizza was very good. However, my wife and I felt the place cold, with no character, no soul, certainly not an Italian soul. Ambience is what makes food taste better. The noise level was unbearable. We felt we were eating in a hospital operating room. I regret we won 't be returning.
Great food and staff but very noisy even 1/2 full. Need something to dampen the sound.
Honestly food was great but it seemed as if there were only 2 servers and it took forever to get their attention, we waited 10 minutes to order our food after she had brought our drinks.
The food was really really good! We ordered the special, which was a nice portion of burrata, served with pieces of fried dough wrapped in prosciutto. So good. We also shared the gnocchi and a pizza, both delicious. The gnocchi came in a braised short rib sauce literally melted in our mouths. The pizza was equally delicious. We ordered the Contadina, which had just the right amount of toppings, taleggio cheese, smokey pancetta, tomatoes green onions (we opted for no mushrooms due to food allergy). The char on the crust was perfect. Staff is great, very attentive, while not in your face. Soprasotto does not disappoint.
Amazing food and cocktails. Would absolutely go back!
