I've been to ginger with my partner, with friends and with my dinner club. It never fails to disappoint! The food and service is consistently great and excellent value money. The banquets/set menus offer a huge amount of food and variety and change according to the season. The food is fresh, great quality, quick and tasty. Absolutely terrible experience! We attempted to make a reservation for a table for two, but the waitress was incredibly rude and told us there were no tables available. We ended up ordering takeout after she practically tossed the menu at us. To add insult to injury, just five minutes later, three individuals walked in off the street and were promptly seated. Well what an amazing night, we heard from a friend about this place and feeling like Japanese we decided to make a booking and thank goodness we did. It was packed with locals and had a warm and inviting feel about it, it was a great choice! As we booked early we had the table at the very back (do try and get this one if u are a party of 4) so quite private and a great view of the people enjoying their meals. Our party chose to start with the pork gyoza to share and OMG they were good! Followed by the king prawn tempura udon.... the best we have EVER eaten and that batter so crisp and melt in your mouth even when dipped into the fantastic spicy broth. (a great tip, ask for the tempura prawns on a side plate to keep them crispy longer) and the teriyaki salmon.... oh to die for! The service was prompt and nothing was too much trouble despite being fully booked. Now we know what the locals have been hiding and we have been here for 4 years, we have driven past and thought.... should we try it and then the moment passed. Not anymore and i cant wait to take some friends from Sydney who tel, us they have the best Japanese food south of Tokyo.

This place was great. Not your fine dining but a great vibe and atmosphere. Great value for money in regards to the portion sizes...not too sure anyone could do three courses at this place. But the flavours makes you want to try.Loved the mains and the desert ice ram tower. Amazing. Have been several times and not disappointed yet.
We popped into this restaurant because it was next door to Aqua Vista where we were staying at the time. Excellent meals and fantastic service. Lots of locals eat here, which is always a good sign.
The food was all absolutely delicious, the main meals are HUGE and the staff were so lovely! Very high quality Japanese and the sashimi melts in your mouth : ) they even bought out a complementary dessert for my partner's birthday, as pictured below:
