The Breakfast Buffet is superfine for Breakfast with an excellent selection of hot and cold dishes. One is able to specially order their own style of fried eggs, which is often not available in other hotels. The staff are great, being friendly and efficient. A great selection of teas tops it off.Dinner time again exemplifies the top class service and presentation one can expect from this restaurant, coupled with pric... View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Conti Bar and Bistro:
I was staying at the Mercure hotel for work and got the Indian Butter chicken as room service. For $27 I definitely expected more than a small take away box with curry that didn't taste great and there wasn't a lot of it. They could have also provided proper cutlery rather than just plastic knife and fork and a box. Disappointing! View all feedback.
We booked ahead for a table for 6 people. When we arrived our table wasn't ready but it didn't take long before we we seated. That is where the service ended. We waited 45 minutes before we could get the attention of a waitress to give us some water and to order some drinks. A bottle of bubbly arrived and we asked if they could then take our food order which she did. We all ordered scallops for entree and she came back and said the scallops were sold out so we ordered garlic bread instead along with our main meals. We then waited 45 minutes and still no garlic bread. We asked what the hold up was and were told that they sew understaffed. Other customers were being served even though they canme later. We figured it was because they complained louder. More time went by and we were so hungry we opted to go elsewhere. We just left.
Sunday night dinner at the pub. Great atmosphere. We had chicken burger and Guiness Pie. I loved the pie with mash and veg. The chilli aoli is a bit spicy but good all the same. Lots of tv screens tuned into sports. Corner has the screens for races.Good value.Bus stop just outside.Easy walking distance from Chinatown.
We arrived just before 7pm. after waiting 10 minutes or so a friendly waitress came up and asked us if we wanted drinks. we gave her the order. 10 or 15 minutes later we got our drinks and then we ordered our meal. she was very helpful however an hour later our trio of dips, the entree, had not been seen. we asked if we could have our entree and cancel the other meals as it was so late we needed to get back to our accommodation. the trio of dips came out with burnt bread instead of Turkish bread very disappointing. We were soo hungry that we didn't complain. ....... but we should have. The burnt toast was disgusting. We scrapped the carbon off the toast. The waitress appologied to us. the meals were expensive with a steak costing up to $72. drinks however were reasonably priced. The Pub meals next door were also expensive. $25 for a hamburger. Go elsewhere. This is why it is number 41 and the put 42 in Broome. There are many really good places. Go to these.
