Excellent Thai restaurant, good service and a rather romantic setting near a pond at SouthBank away from the hubub. Much better than a lot of places on Little Grey Street, probably one of the best at Southbank all round. Food seems good so far but I'd like to go back to explore more of what they have. What Ali Rogahn dislikes about Siam South Bank:
I went to Siam restaurant last Friday and it was the firstTime that I visited. The menu is comprehensive and the Specialities were recommended by our host. The flavour of the food was good. It was good value, 2 entrees and 4 mains shared et week 4 people worked out to $33 each. They are licensed, I had a couple of beers, I think they were $8 each. The service was quick delivering the meals, but, there was no follow up s... View all feedback.

This place as a friend put it was very “dark and not well lit” at night, perhaps given the radiology place next door was closed. The outside ambience was a bit dark, but inside was ok so don’t let that fool you.<br/ <br/ We came here after movies at South Bank, and overall not bad. You are paying a bit of premium for location IMO, but that is offset by our entertainment book 25% off voucher although you get 5% anyway for checking in on Facebook.<br/ <br/ Service food came out quick almost too quick as almost 10minute difference between serving of first main and sixth last main dish to our friend. <br/ <br/ Food itself Tom Yum fried rice was really good highly recommended. Other duck dish was not as impressive.<br/ <br/ Overall 4/5

Very good experience dining at this restaurant. We ordered the cashew stir fry, coconut rice, pad see ew and roti bread. The food came out very quickly and everything tasted amazing. The service was also very nice!

Towards the more authentic than westernised end of the scale, this is a good value Thai restaurant with very decent food and a lovely view across the South Bank Parklands. Service is friendly and efficient and the lunch menus are reasonably priced with generous servings.  I ordered the Pad Thai last time I went, but have also had the Kai Pad Krapow, both of which were delicious.  This is one of the better establishments in the South Bank precinct.
