Was ErrolS at Criterion Tavern a mag?
Reserved table was ready when we arrived. Easy to order and food came promptly. We ordered steaks and they were cooked to perfection. It was noisy due to Christmas crowd in the bistro and adjacent bar. View all feedback.

What tiffanyf dislikes about Criterion Tavern:
Arrived with a group to celebrate a work milestone we all had different dishes, wanting something light I opted for the Thai beef salad omg I couldn’t eat the beef it was chewy that I actually spat it back out in the salad, I gave it back to the wait staff, I will never bring a group again. This establishment has been here for many, many, many years, it is a Brisbane institution! Located on the corner of George and Adelaide Street, Criterion is a bistro with pokies and a restaurant/bar. Our party of 3 arrived around 6:30pm on a Wednesday. Plenty of available seating. The place was clean and not too loud even though there were quite a few people. There are always specials available for dining. Tonight was a blank Angus pie with chips. I had the chicken parmigiana with pineapple and chilli sauce great combination of flavours. Service was quick and staff are friendly. Recommend visiting if you are looking for a good feed at reasonable prices.

Staff are always super chill, I finally checked their menu to see if I could eat something (dietary requirements suck) and they had a Thai salad that I could eat! It was delicious, but be warned she is SPICY! For the flavour I’m happy to cry in the middle of a full pub though!

Nice place, is great for more casual socialising and larger groups. The food was good and decently priced, and they have a fairly diverse menu :

Best value pub in the city...even the musak is cool 60s and 70s classics. Staff are brilliant, friendly and enjoy their work.
