Captain George S Fish & Chips

My wife and I visited Captain George's in Brighton at the beginning of August.What a pleasant surprise!My wife is not a fish lover, so she had a breast of chicken sandwich. She said it was excellent and it was certainly a very generous portion. I had 2 pieces of Haddock - excellent in every way - with a wonderful light batter. The fries (chips) were absolutely the very best I've had in many years. The server was extremely efficient and very friendly.All min all - Captain George's in Brighton is excellent food at very good prices.

As well as having good food to eat, one feels good when one leaves. Very friendly and accommodating owner and waiter.

Love going there for our fish and chips with our neighbors.. Staff is very friendly and the food is great. Order the chowder soup and you won't be disappointed.

Best fish and chips for this town. A little slow on take out orders but it's still pretty good. One customer was waiting so long to order he left and said he was getting a sub. So call ahead.

Halibut warm and bland, no dressing on coleslaw just raw vegetables, watered down gravy. Ordered large ceasar and generally a salad is served prior to your meal and we got it after meal was delivered. I mentioned this to waitress and she just laughed it off. Went to pay and we expressed our dislike for the meal, response was I'll let Chef know. No Chef appeared to speak to us about meal. Will never go there again. Disgusting meal. Very disappointed.
