Our menu is crafted from scratch by executive chef Ignacio Lopez, known for his work at Beat Hotel and Tuscan Kitchen. The lunch menu features salads, sandwiches ($15-$21), while dinner offers full-service brasserie entrees priced between $25-$30. The Merchant is a popular spot for those looking to enjoy a meal after attending events like The Nutcracker with their children. The ambience is pleasant, the location is great, and the service can be hit or miss. Some guests find the food to be overpriced for what it is, while others rave about the delicious dishes, like the slow-roasted chicken breast and crab cakes. The restaurant is known for its attentive service, with standout servers like Bri and Elizabeth. Guests appreciate the live jazz music and the overall ambiance of the restaurant. However, some diners report slow service and food that lacks a certain wow factor. Overall, The Merchant is a good choice for those looking for a stylish setting and a varied menu, but improvements could be made in terms of food quality and service speed.

I hope you keep the noise level low as it was last night. i'm letting friends know, as we are boycotting most loud restaurants. Thank you.

Very good ambiance, menu choices leave something to be desired. Options presented are a bit all over the place, but the ramen and fish and chips are both good picks. Still a bit expensive given the middle of the road flavor, but definitely worth it for the ambiance.

The $1 oysters were pretty good. The fries and fish tacos were solid too. Good selection of beers and cocktails. Service was really slow and our table was in such a dark area you couldn’t read the menu.

Excellent service and very good food. It was a bit loud for me, but it does seem to be partially a sports bar, so that's to be expected. The mixed green salad and bang bang cauliflower were excellent.
