I planned this stop on spec, and so glad I did. After a rotten drive up from Brisbane, I nearly discounted stopping here, but I am so glad we did what a laugh....

"Good food and not expensive but not child friendly despite the large garden. Casual staff are polite and friendly but the owner was very rude. Will not be back."

"Stopped for lunch in between looking at wedding venues. The frittata was delicious! My fiance and Mum both enjoyed their meal as well. Coffee was also very enjoyable. Friendly staff and comfortable surroundings mean this cafe is one to return to. :"

"When walking up to Mayfields it’s the view that captures your attention first. The view here on a clear day is to die for!! This patisserie/cafe isn’t your standard cafe this is an upmarket place and the food and prices reflect that. So many delicious...dessert options to satisfy your sweet tooth! When your paying for a single dessert you want it to be so decadent that you almost can’t finish it and this is exactly what you get here. Definitely worth the splurge! Can’t wait to come back on a special morning tea with my daughter when it’s a little cooler and try the hot chocolates"

"We saw the restaurant advertised on Queensland Weekender, and being in Montville for the weekend decided to pay it a visit. We ordered 6 of the tapas & a glass of wine each. The food is delicious, and we felt like judges on Masterchef, tasting and sharing each of the 6 tapas dishes. It is well worth your while to visit this restaurant, thank you for the friendly service"

"Had seen it driving past while visiting Maleny on holiday. As a cheese lover my daughter and I popped in to see what they had. On arrival they bring out the tasting cheeses and you can try any of them as often as you like. Small pieces. But the plus is they offer a fab tasting cheese platter. $10 for small one which is more than ample for 2 and then $20 for a larger one for 4 people. The cheese platter was excellent. Amazing value and great selection of cheese and lovely biscuits. Staff are super helpful and of course we purchased some cheese to take away. They also offer a great range of chutneys and various other home produced items. You can view the Factory from a large glass window and see cheese being made. Lovely to sit in the winters sun outside and enjoy the cheese. Perfect to pop in and buy some locally produced items. Well worth a visit for the platter alone and buying some is a bonus but not a necessity."
