"Have eaten here twice in the last month or so and both times, they?ve been out of sweet potato waffle fries! Also, last time, they were out of apple pie. I didn?t even bother to ask this time, afraid of more disappointment lol!! Supply and demand?.they aren?t buying enough to keep up with the demands of people wanting them! Kinda disappointing. The burgers were good and juicy! Sloppy waffle fries were amazing! And they give you these weird chili shots, not sure why, but ok! Server was way better last time, this time the server was slightly lax. Not sure whether I?ll go back."

"Food had potential but there were more misses than hits. I ordered the Black Russian grilled mixed veggies and cheese with russian dressing on thick pumpernickel rye bread and served with pan fried potatoes. I added a cup of tomato basil soup. The sandwich was really good; loved the bread but the potatoes and soup both had distinct Indian flavors. I love Indian food but it was not what I was in the mood for and the menu gave no indication this was the case. I left most of them behind. My companion ordered the eggs benedict hard pass. The eggs were overcooked and worse, the hollandaise had WAY too much lemon never had that much lemon in hollandaise sauce before and the plate was drowning in it like it was gravy. Her side salad was decidedly our favorite item cold, crisp and tasty. The service was friendly but for the few customers that were in the place, everything took a little too long coffee refills, requests for more cream, the bill etc. I'll give it one more shot just to make sure this wasn't a one off considering all the good reviews, but this trip wasn't my cup of tea :o/"

"Mother Bear’s pizza is an iconic part of Bloomington and the Indiana University culture! The unique experience they give is to be able to sign the walls and seat backs. I didn’t see any rules posted about not signing the tables or wall art but people seem to respect the process and avoid those areas. And what about the food you ask? It is good. I personally like the deep dish with sauce on top. It is Chicago-esque style if you order it that way. A small 10” square pizza in that style will run you about $20 before tax and tip. The 6” individual pizza will run you less than $10 before t&t. They have Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes and salt on each table, so experiment with your favorite combination.
