"THIS was SO GOOD. I’ve heard about Bruce Hotel’s steak for years and finally went! I drove 2 hours to meet family here. The food was excellent. The owners are so friendly and engaging. All the staff was! All you can eat buffet salads, main sides and desserts. Tea coffee included. Reasonably priced drinks. The steak was awesome. The place was packed, but you aren’t squished in. It was just a wonderful and relaxed atmosphere. Worth the drive! I am curious if they have a price for just the buffet part, as a few I know are vegan would still like to go. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$40–50"

"The sign says they're open and the lights are on but they just keep screaming that they are closed and that it's not reopening. The staff seem to hang out in the store nextdoor eating snacks and screaming at customers instead of making food and money. My advice keep driving to the next rest stop... Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"

"We went for the fish and chips; while there, we heard about their pie. Tried both the apple and chocolate cream (last piece of each). They were made from scratch and truly delectable! The apple pie was thick with apples, spiced just right, and the pastry was flaky. The chocolate cream pie was heavenly, (and this from a non chocolate fan) the crust had the perfect blend of crunchy and moist, real whipped cream on top, and melt in your mouth filling. If you go, eat pie first!!"

"My wife and I were going to Daysland and decided to try Bruce's Place for the first time we went around noon so it was pretty busy my wife had the fried chicken special and I had the veal cutlet dinner . the owner was very friendly and made sure we had plenty of coffee and iced tea refills the food was very good portions were more than adequate we will definitely be back when were in Daysland."
