The Chimes - Baton Rouge

The best experience we?ve had in a minute. The waitress was pretty freaking awesome. The food was close to perfect. The crab fingers were to die for! I?m in love with this place will be returning again today ???? yes I just went last night. That?s what you get when you live in a place that doesn?t match this type of energy level of food taste!

We enjoyed this restaurant so much ! The place is incredible with the decors so authentic. Our waitress Madeleine was really nice and gave us great recommendations. We tried the Boudin egg rolls and weren?t disappointed !! The food was amazing and they had a huge selection of international and regional beers. It?s definitely a place to go in Baton Rouge !

The service and atmosphere are great. I 'd give it another try, but the food was just okay. The salad was completely plain a little lettuce with one croutons and two bites of tomato drowned in dressing, which is saying a lot for me to call it drowned. Anything fried was super greasy and tasted heavy. The catfish was well seasoned and a nice flaky texture that fell apart, but maybe a little too much falling apart. The roast beef poboy would do better to have the gravy on the side. The taste was decent, but just from the time it took to go from the kitchen to the table, it was already soggy from being so drowned it gravy. Normally, I 'd be all in on that, but it didn 't click just right. I 'd give it a 6/10 overall but would try again.

?ve been here many times, it?s great! Really nice atmosphere out on the upstairs outdoor patio. They have heaters and TVs. There is a bar and standing area. I?ve also sat inside which is nice. The noise level is nice, it?s not too loud but not quiet either. It?s a nice vibe and the wait staff are on top of their jobs. We always get the cheese sticks, which are really good! They?re the biggest cheese sticks I?ve ever seen. The cheese sticks are so big one per person is enough. The red beans and rice are really good too! We?ve gotten that several times. Their sandwiches are also good. Pretty much everything on the menu is great and you can?t pick a bad thing. It is in a nice location right by LSU, so after you eat you can walk around campus.

This place is a staple in townI was told to go for happy hour and It didn't disappoint.
