La Madeleine - Baton Rouge

When my husband and I walked in a few moments ago we followed people to stand in the cafeteria style food line.

Food is good but why does the staff always appear frazzled and irritated at each other? I come here around twice a month and no matter the crowd the workers

La Madeleine has been one of my favorite cafés since childhood! The location in Perkins Rowe is charming with a lovely interior, just like all their locations. They serve the best soups, the Caesar salad is absolutely perfect, and every dessert I've tried has been outstanding. While it can be a bit pricey, the quality of the food is worth it, and you can save money by being strategic with your choices. If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend checking it out!

La Madeleine has long been one of my favorite restaurants. The service is consistently excellent, and the food has always been outstanding. Coming from a French heritage, I have high standards when it comes to French cuisine, and La Madeleine truly delivers. They offer a complete menu for both lunch and dinner now. I absolutely adore the cranberry pecan salad—it's the perfect blend of tangy and sweet. The potato soup is incredibly flavorful, delivering a rich potato taste in every spoonful. I can't wait to try everything else on the menu (as long as it doesn’t include pork).

This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in town. Their salads are incredible, and the spinach and bacon salad is absolutely outstanding. I highly recommend it!
