Oliveira is a traditional restaurant located in the center of Barcelos, close to the Town Hall, in the North of Portugal. We came here to eat cod (bacalhau in Portuguese) cooked in a traditional-style. The dish has cod, potatoes and onion baked. Very good. Also we shared two bottles of white wine of the region and a cake as a dessert. Very nice. Very real and cheap. read more.

A very humble place but cooking traditional local food. Very tasty, but do not expect any time of luxury. There is no separation between the kitchen and the eating area, so it feel like you are in a big farm house with your hrand mother cooking for the family. No credit cards accepted.
